Our team is here to simplify your philanthropy and provide charitable expertise – both of which can we tailor to you and your giving style.

Your fund with the Community Foundation allows you to make charitable deposits when it makes sense financially and distribute grants whenever it is convenient. The Foundation does all the proper paperwork related to these gifts, making tax time easier for you. As a fundholder, you have access to our skilled staff who can provide you with expertise on community needs, gift planning, and fund administration. No matter your goals, we are here to help you find the best means to achieve them.

How do I open a Fund?

Opening a fund is simple. Our team will meet with you to determine the best fund to accomplish your charitable goals and then walk you through a few simple steps to get started.

Decide what & when to give

Contribute cash, stock or a variety of other assets to create your fund now or later through a planned gift.

Create your gift

Complete a fund agreement to establish your fund, name it, identify fund advisors and make your initial contribution. The minimum gift amount to establish a fund varies by fund and ranges from $5,000-$25,000.

Give

Recommend grants to your favorite charities or rely on our expert staff to apprise you of valuable projects and programs in our area.
